I've finally gotten around to testing my first DIY yugang reactor and am wondering how much time prior to "lights on" do others turn on the CO2. With my vertical reactor and inline diffusers, I turn on CO2 about 3 hours before, so that's where I started with the yugang, but even at 4 hours, I don't have close to a full CO2 pocket and nowhere near my expected PH drop. About me: I've been keeping planted aquariums and shrimp breeding tanks for almost a decade and for the majority of that time aquariums were my primary hobby. Main idea/inspiration: Since my main 150p aquarium is in our front room and is the first thing we and our guests see, I can't afford to experiment much with it.
